Emmerdale actress Paige Sandhu has revealed killer Meena Jutla could return to the soap for its special 50th Anniversary episode as she teased "she's going to come back."
But Meena will need the help of another character, Paige said. The killer nurse was finally jailed in April after taking the courtroom hostage and threatening to kill her sister Manpreet.
Asked whether her character could make a shock return to the village for the soap's golden anniversary, Paige told the Daily Mirror: "I never say never. With Emmerdale, everything is up in the air - it's gonna be the biggest and best year yet. I can't say much yet, so we'll see."

Ian Beeker, who was going to help Meena escape, has been revealed as the prison guard watching over her. Asked if she would welcome a twist in her controversial character's story, Paige said: "Well of course, anything. I've loved playing Meena and I think she is so manipulative - I wouldn't put it past her twisting him around her little finger or another prison guard or anyone.
"I think right now she's in prison, she's been in prison, she's living it up, she's going to find her escape room and she's going to come back..."
Opening up about whether she would plot revenge on Beeker after discovering he crossed her, she said: "Oh of course. She's going to make him pay. Because to her, she always wants to win and she hasn't this time. So there's going to be a lot of rage."
A Bad Girls-style spin-off is also something Paige would welcome for Meena. She said: "I would love to have a spin-off! Are you kidding me? I would love to! Someone did a petition for a Meena spin-off. I don't know how well that did. I think if there is a spin-off it would do really well!"
