Emmerdale actor Mark Charnock, who is best known for his role as Marlon Dingle on the ITV soap, has paid tribute to his co-star after she left the show on Monday.
In recent scenes Mark's on screen character, Marlon, suffered a heart-breaking stroke, the actor has been praised by fans for his portrayal of a stroke victim as he takes on the important role of raising awareness.
The soap has worked closely with the charity, Stroke Association, to give a "realistic and authentic depiction" of Marlon's journey.

Monday night's episode saw Marlon return home to recover, after spending time in hospital, as Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) celebrated his milestone.
However, emotions were high as Marlon bid farewell to his nurse at hospital, Gail Hancock, played by Elizabeth Boag, who has been caring for him over the past few months.
After the episode aired Elizabeth Boag, who plays Gail, took to Twitter to reveal that it was the end of her time on the show and that she had "loved every minute".
Alongside a snap of herself in character Elizabeth wrote: "Bye Gail! Thank you @markcharnock , @ZoeHenry03 , all the cast, crew and casting team @emmerdale . Loved every minute," with a kiss emoji.
Mark sweetly replied with: "You were wonderful in the part, Liz! Just superb. Xx."
And it seems Mark wasn't the only one upset by Gail's departure, as fans took to Twitter to say their goodbyes to the character.
One person said: "Goodbye Gail you smashed all your scenes #Emmerdale."

While another social media user wrote: "You were brilliant! I really was hoping you might be Marlon's home carer to help out Rhona and the rest of the family! Blessings and love to you everafter, Miss Boag! X."
"You were like a breath of fresh air I'm gutted you are gone ...We need you back asap xx" another follower penned.
But it seems Marlon is not out of the woods yet when he develops a dangerous cough and is forced to go back to hospital.
Rhona is sick with worry when she finds out he’s developed aspiration pneumonia. The pair are left heartbroken when the doctor reveals Marlon’s rehabilitation is likely to regress.
