Emmerdale's Marcus set for 'sinister' twist

Emmerdale viewers think Marcus has a sinister streak in him that will soon be revealed.

As viewers watched Marcus and Ethan's relationship hit the rocks in the latest episode, they may have uncovered a major twist in the pipeline. Aside from the ordeal with Rhona, their relationship and arrival to the village have been nothing but positive.

Making friends with everyone in the village, Marcus has gone out of his way to be around to be helpful to whoever he could, including helping out with electrical issues in the café. As Ethan moved into Tall Trees, the pair toasted to a great evening but it was quickly cut short as he was called to work - reports the Mirror.

Despite his impeccable behaviour some viewers think Marcus may be hiding something, suspecting there's more to him than meets the eye. One fan wrote: “Starting to think that the real Marcus is about to start showing his true colours getting a bad vibe!!”

Another eagle-eyed fan wrote: “I can't put my finger on it but there's something about Marcus I just really don't like and don't trust!”

Another tweeted: “Can we fast forward months ahead where Marcus turns out to be dodgy as hell, because I can't take more boredom with Ethan/Marcus scenes.”

A fellow fan posted: “So what’s the deal with Marcus? Is he playing Ethan along? I’ve never seen someone so unenthusiastic.”

Ethan soon found himself in a moral quandary as he defended the racist who attacked Billy Fletcher. As Billy was taken to hospital for his injuries, he told Dawn the attack was racially motivated. Back at the police station, Ethan said that although he knows Billy, there is no conflict of interest but suggested to Jordan that he might prefer to seek alternative representation.
