Emmerdale's Dr Liam Cavanagh will be left devastated after Manpreet Sharma makes a game-changing decision in Meena's court case.
The doctor has understandably been left reeling following his daughter Leanna Cavanagh's death, after she was murdered by evil serial killer Meena Jutla in harrowing scenes last year, and has vowed to get justice in any way he can.
Meena has been charged with 18 counts on the indictment including murder, attempted murder and other crimes. As part of her twisted plot, she held her own sister Manpreet hostage, as well as murdering Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna. She has also been charged for the attempt murder of Liam's wife Leyla Cavanagh, as well as trying to kill Victoria Sugden.
Now the serial killer is set to have her day in court - but the prosecution and the families of her victims are dealt a cruel blow when Manpreet admits she doesn't want to testify in court.

Actress Paige Sandhu - who plays Meena - has confirmed she will be exiting the ITV soap, but the exact storyline is still under wraps.
"I think Meena’s hilarious, she’s got so much charisma, she’s so strange and odd. She’s so much fun to play. Going to those dark places is really fulfilling but then there’s that slightly comedic edge," Paige shared earlier this year.
"I love her flamboyant nature. I’ll miss everything about her," she added, as she confirmed she would be departing the role.
Whilst we don't know the specifics of her exit, Emmerdale bosses have insisted Meena will face some sort of "judgement day".
"I think it's fair to say that judgement day for Meena is coming. But whether she'll get away with murder you're going to have to wait and find out," executive producer Jane Hudson teased, "There are still some more twists and turns to be had in this story. Some that you probably won't see coming but I think we can all agree that Meena can pretty much do anything.
She added: "But yes, Meena's judgement day is coming. It won't play out quite as you expect, there will be a lasting effect on a lot of the villagers but I think within the next few months, Meena will get what's coming with her."
