Emmerdale 's Mackenzie Boyd could be his own downfall, as his shocking betrayal and baby lie is set to be exposed this week.
His violent and confusing behaviour and reactions to certain comments certainly hinted he was about to give the game away, ahead of wife Charity Dingle discovering what he's been up to.
For the past nine or so months, Mack has been hiding the fact he cheated on Charity in a fling last summer and that as a result, he is now a father.
Up until now, Charity has remained in the dark about Mack's one-night stand with Chloe Harris last year, and the fact Chloe fell pregnant.
Chloe recently welcomed her baby son, but this week fans have seen baby Reuben's health take a turn for the worse.
On Tuesday night, Charity learned family friend Chloe was at the hospital with her baby son after doctors told her he likely had bacterial meningitis.
Reuben was placed on a ventilator, and attempts to take him off of the machine on Tuesday night led to more worrying news.
Chloe was informed Reuben wasn't coping off of the ventilator and that his blood pressure had dramatically dropped, so they had to put him back onto the breathing support.
She confided in both sister Amy Wyatt and nurse Wendy Posner about Reuben's condition, after learning he may have a bleed on the brain.
While after tests she was told they did not find a bleed, Chloe shared her panic over him being unable to cope or breathe without assistance.
As updates filtered around the village, his secret father Mack was clearly struggling and hit the booze to numb his pain.
Mack was seen fighting back tears and shaking as he learned about Reuben possibly being at death's door, and he couldn't even hide his turmoil.
He then went to the pub and continued to down booze before calling out Dan Spencer in bizarre scenes.
As Amy and Dan discussed Reuben's health and hoped he would be okay, Mack began to slam Dan for being positive in front of a puzzled Charity.
As Dan asked what his problem was, Mack got up and punched him before storming out - leaving Charity and Amy shocked by his reaction.
With the secret coming out in just a few episodes, it seems Mack's odd behaviour and sudden concern for baby Reuben will be the thing that gives his lies away to Charity.
After months of refusing to be a part of his son's life, even after being torn once he was born last month, it seems his secret love for Reuben will be his downfall.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
