Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley has opened up about whether Mandy and Paddy will ever get back together.
For quite some time, Emmerdale fans have been hopeful the former loves, who have been on-and-off for decades, will get back together. The pair have got close, and even shared an intimate moment, following Paddy’s marriage to Chas coming to an end. We’ll ignore that Mandy and Chas are related, obviously.
Lisa Riley, 46, has talked to Inside Soap about what the future holds for her character Mandy and whether she’ll finally settle down with Paddy. Lisa explained: “You can’t give the audience that too quickly. Otherwise, it is just like ‘And, then what?’.”

Added to this, we’ve seen Paddy’s ongoing mental health struggles following the end of his marriage with Chas. Lisa thinks this is an added factor in Mandy not pushing her feelings for Paddy.
“She just wants Paddy but she’s so frightened of getting hurt,” Lisa explained. “We’ve got to play it out because Paddy’s poorly.

“It’s what the audience wants but Paddy has to get well. Mandy knows him getting well is the better ending.”
