Speaking at a press event previewing Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary, Jeff explained: “My character is involved in the Faith storyline. I’m personally saddened at losing the great Sally Dexter but it will give us some great stories going forward. That’s as much as I know.”
Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson elaborated a little further on what fans of the soap can expect from the major milestone month. She said: “Instead of just celebrating one day, we thought, why don’t we celebrate the whole month to mark it? And, that’s exactly what we are going to be doing.
“In true Emmerdale-style, we have got every story imaginable. We have got things which will make you laugh, make you cry, make you surprised and stunts which will rock your world.
“It was really important to us to not just celebrate our wonderful characters but to also celebrate the village itself. The whole month will be set in our village and it will really show it off.”
