Emmerdale have revealed Jacob Gallagher's fate after he was feared dead in a horror stabbing.
The ITV1 soap aired some big scenes earlier this week when Jacob was stabbed after he decided to confront his mother's drug dealer Callum. Things quickly turned nasty and in a violent scuffle, Jacob was injured and Callum disappeared without calling for help.
Jacob was left for dead at the viaduct and it was only the next day when he was found by David and Leyla, who called an ambulance and rushed him to hospital. He had been bleeding out all night and was very unwell.
Earlier in the week, struggling with the pressure of the end of her marriage and work, Leyla contacted Callum, who was concerned by Leyla's request to meet and whilst he was initially hesitant, he eventually agreed and sold her some of the drugs.
Despite Leyla promising she didn't take the drugs, Jacob decided to go to see Callum and confront him over it. He also locked his mother in the bedroom to make her go cold turkey, using her phone which he swiped to text Callum and arrange a meeting.
"I'm her son and she was clean. She doesn't need you sniffing around and messing that up for her. Stay away from her," Jacob warned but Callum didn't take him seriously. Angry, Jacob pulled out a knife and threatened the dealer.
However, a scuffle occurred and Callum ended up getting a hold of the knife and stabbed Jacob.
Now Jacob is in hospital and things turned even worse for the family today when he was rushed into surgery for a second operation, with the family being told to expect the worse. David had called Leyla as things seemed to be heading in a bad direction.
At the end of the episode though, it was confirmed that Jacob had woken up from his surgery.
