Emmerdale 's Faye is finally exposed next week, as spoilers reveal devastated Mary Goskirk discovers her partner's true intentions.
Mary and Faye got together recently, with Faye being Mary's first partner since she came out to her family on the ITV soap.
But viewers have been convinced for a while that Faye is up to no good, and they are proven right in upcoming scenes.
Faye's suspicious behaviour leads to Mary being attacked and left bleeding on the floor as the evil newcomer makes a run for it, after planning to scam Mary out of her money.
It's friend Suzy Merton who first suspects Faye isn't all she seems, especially as she starts being cagey about a bank transfer for an auction.
Suzy tells Mary her concerns, but this only leads to her sending Faye a huge amount of money in the hope it encourages Faye to make the transfer.
The next day, Suzy offers Mary more evidence that Faye is hiding something and suggests she cannot be trusted.
Mary tries to shut her down, desperately wanting to believe her dream is still intact - only for the horrifying truth to be revealed.
As she tests the water with Faye, Faye begins acting cagey once again about her finances and Mary realises Suzy's fears are correct.
Faye realises she has been rumbled and acts cold towards Mary as her act us up, and she has no way of convincing Mary otherwise.
When a kerfuffle ensues over an envelope of money, as Mary attempts to get her money back, Mary ends up being injured.
Faye makes her escape and Mary is left bleeding and concussed on the ground, but will she be okay and can Faye be stopped?
Executive Producer Jane Hudson recently told The Mirror about the storyline: "We've got the lovely love story playing on screen for Mary and Faye. We are seeing Mary falling in love with Faye.
"It's Mary's first relationship since coming out and she's been very vulnerable, she's really put herself out there and unfortunately it's not going to be a happy ending.
"Mary is gonna have her heart broken. I think what is really relevant for this story is how easy it is to be scammed, how easy it is to be taken in and how easy it is for love to stop you thinking logically.
"No matter what age you are, we're all vulnerable of being tricked and scammed and catfished, it's a really heartbreaking story.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
