Emmerdale fans have been left speculating Chas Dingle could be on the brink of a major downward spiral in the wake of Al Chapman’s shock death on the ITV soap.
The prediction comes after Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) discovered Al cheated on Kerry Wyatt ( Laura Norton ), leaving her determined to uncover the identity of his mistress.
Chloe has been hellbent on proving Priya (Fiona Wade) had an affair with Al, after her devastated mum decided to leave the village.
While Priya has vehemently denied the affair, Chloe went to desperate measures to get information out of her daughter by bribing her with hot chocolate.
Eventually the reason behind Chloe’s tactics got back to Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and left her panicking that the truth could be uncovered.
She later went to see her brother Cain ( Jeff Hordley ) in prison and broke down in tears as he threatened to tell Paddy ( Dominic Brunt ) about the pair’s affair.
Following the dramatic scenes, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on what could be in store next for Chas on the Dales.
While many believe she will either confess or be exposed very soon on the ITV soap, others theorised Al could have been having more than one affair.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “I’d love for it to be revealed that Al had more women than just Kerry and Chas on the go, and watch Chas lose everything over a man who hadn’t changed for her at all.”
Another soap fan replied: "Yep I can see someone turning up pregnant looking for Al."
Other fans seem to think Chas might be exposed by Charity Dingle, with one tweeting: "Come on Charity work it out that it’s Chas with the way she’s reacting before we all die of boredom."
Another added: "You can tell Chas is guilty defending Al at every opportunity."
"Is Charity fishing?," one asked while another said: "Chas is almost telling them it was her."
Another claimed: "Come on Mandy and Charity work it out. Chas was having an affair with Al."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX on demand.
