Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb's first major TV role since her departure from the Dales has been revealed.
Charley, who is best known for her role as Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, is set to star in brand new BBC drama Better. And while it's a brand new role for Charley, she won't feel too out of place as the drama is based and filmed in and around Leeds.
Charley started playing Debbie Dingle at just 14-years-old and stayed in the role for 19 years. The acting star left Emmerdale for good following the birth of her third child, Ace.

Fans of Charley's have repeatedly made calls for her return, and while it seems her Emmerdale days are behind her, people won't have much longer to wait to see their favourite actress back on their screens as Better is set to air on Monday, February 13.
Charley will play the role of Elise, although not much more is known about her character as of yet. She will star alongside I Hate Suzie star Leila Farzad and This England actor Andrew Buchan.
Better is the story of one woman’s battle towards redemption, to reclaim the honour and honesty she handed over to a man many years ago. The drama is written by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, known for Humans and Spooks, with the story being produced by studio Sister - previously known for Sky show Chernobyl.
The series will air weekly on Mondays at 9pm, with the full boxset also being available on iPlayer.
