Emmerdale's Caleb Miligan is ready to stir things up on the ITV soap, as the secret brother of Cain Dingle and Chas Dingle makes his debut at Christmas.
Actor Will Ash is taking on the role, and speaking to The Mirror and other press he teased "dark" scenes ahead - and a possible revenge plot.
Fans will learn all about Caleb's past and his first and only meeting with his sibling years earlier, to be shown in special flashback sequences.
Caleb is the secret son of the late Faith Dingle, while it's not clear yet who his father is.
What is known is that Cain met Caleb when he was a young teen, with him having been in care and seeking out his family.
But Cain told his little brother that Faith was dead in a shocking lie, before telling him to stay away.
Decades later after learning the truth, Caleb comes back into his life with a bang - and he's soon keen to get to know his long-lost family, much to Cain's dismay.
But actor Will has teased the "complex" character will have "an axe to grind" for being left out in the cold all those years ago, and for not getting the chance to know his mum before her recent death.
He teased there could be revenge on the way, as he tips Cain's world upside down - amid him being in prison for Al Chapman's murder, which was actually carried out by his young son Kyle.
Will told us Caleb was "complex" and "layered" as a character, saying: "He comes in having this quite dark backstory having been put into care as a child.
"So when he was like 15, 14, he finds Cain and tries to reconnect with his family and he’s told by Cain that his mum is dead, so to steer clear of the family basically.
"So he spends the rest of his time growing up in care so he comes into it, when he finds out Faith wasn't dead, with a lot of bitterness, and a lot of anger so that complexity and having an axe to grind with Cain."
On possible revenge being on the cards, he went on: "Yeah, he’s got an axe to grind but how he exacts his revenge, I'm not too sure about that or how much I can tell you.
"There’s a lot of bitterness he has been holding on to as you would expect. He has grown up without a family, he's not found his mum and has missed out on the opportunity of knowing who she was. So there’s a lot going on, so I'd say there could be revenge."
But he did reveal he could soon find out what Cain's reasons were for sending him away all those years ago, as he learns all about Cain and Chas' childhood.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
