Emmerdale's Cain Dingle holds Al Chapman at gunpoint as fans 'work out' next to die

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have "worked out" which character will be next to die.

The show's 50th anniversary has been marked with a devastating storm that has ripped through the village. Show bosses warned up to eight characters could be killed off in the epic stunt.

Faith Dingle lost her battle to cancer before Harriet Finch and Liv Dingle died due to the ferocious weather. Spoilers for next week's episodes show that Cain Dingle and Al Chapman will have a dramatic showdown.

The character, played by Jeff Hordley, is in disbelief when he finally rumbles Al is having an affair with Chas Dingle. He will uncover a string of messages from Al on Chas' burner phone before setting a trap.

Cain will hold Al gunpoint before revealing the shotgun was just a way to get his attention as he prepares to fight Al. The two will exchange fists in a violent brawl before they both go to reach for the nearby shotgun. The blast will go off but it is unclear who has shot who.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter are convinced Al will be one of the characters to exit the show.

RJ said: "Al will die after affair exposed, soon rather than later."

Ange commented: "Al dies. That's my theory."

Victoria posted: "Al will be the first to go."

Linzi tweeted: "Chas and Al need to go as characters"
