Emmerdale is lining up a shooting horror next week for Cain Dingle and Al Chapman, in the fallout to death and destruction in the village.
Two characters were killed in a storm last week as Liv Flaherty was crushed by a caravan, and Harriet Finch was caught up in a quad bike crash and resulting explosion.
Just a week earlier, Faith died after taking her own life amid her battle with cancer.
Next week, spoilers confirm the Dingles are still reeling over their huge loss, and it's time to say goodbye.
But there's a bombshell for Cain when he finally finds out his sister Chas has been having an affair with Al, when he finds her burner phone and calls the number that repeatedly appears on it.
After noticing Chas and her son Aaron are not getting on, Cain is curious to know why leading to the discovery about his sister and his long-time enemy.
Amidst his grief, Cain is full or rage and disbelief and he soon uses the phone to set a trap to catch Al out.
But things take a dark turn when Cain attends the set-up armed with a shotgun, and he holds his enemy at gunpoint.
Soon things turn violent as Al and Cain battle it out, only for a life-or-death struggle to ensue when both of them eye up the shotgun.
As they both go to grab it a shot rings out, and someone is hit - but who, and will they survive?
It comes as former cast member Sally Dexter teased big scenes between the duo just last week, before the spoilers were announced.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards, Faith actress Sally hinted she knew what was ahead but couldn't spill the beans.
Instead, she teased something was on the way, amid Al's secret with Chas being exposed - while it was recently teased there could be "fireworks" if Cain found out about the couple.
Sally said: "Well Al, oh my goodness, there’s something coming up there. I'm not sure how much you know."
She also touched on the fact viewers should watch out for her on-screen son Cain, while again remaining coy over the circumstances.
She said: "Viewers should always be looking out for Cain. It's very important," before adding, referring to Cain and Faith making amends: "It's so wonderful they got back together."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
