Emmerdale's Anthony Quinlan career change and sweet romance with co-star

Former Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan has undergone quite a transformation since he quit the show a few years ago.

The 37-year-old now puts his energy into his fitness business after his spells on Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - and certainly looks the part. He currently works as an online coach who helps people lose weight, tone up or get lean "whilst eating the foods they love".

He regularly shows off his ripped body to his 152,000 followers on Instagram and seems to be enjoying his less dramatic life offscreen. While on the show, Anthony accumulated a loyal fanbase for his portrayal of Pete Barton.

Pete arrived in the village in 2013 and endured a dramatic period in the Yorkshire Dales as he served time in prison and was involved in a fiery romance with Debbie Dingle. Much to the dismay of fans, Anthony quit the show in 2019 and his character was last seen driving to Liverpool to be reunited with his brother, Ross.

Since then, Anthony, who previously played Gilly Roach in Hollyoaks, regularly made headlines with his love life, the Liverpool Echo reports. He dated Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell but the pair split in 2018.

At the time he told the Daily Star: "We're still really good friends - it's just distance played a part. There were all these rumours about the Strictly curse but it wasn't that."

He is now in a happy relationship with Hollyoaks co-star Nikki Sanderson after "sliding into her DMs". The two regularly share loved-up snaps on Instagram and recently enjoyed a holiday to Cannes.
