Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh has confirmed her return to the ITV soap after giving birth to her daughter last year.
The actress, who plays Tracy Metcalfe on Emmerdale, welcomed a baby girl with her partner, EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith in March, 2022.
And now, a year on, the star has revealed she is returning to work in a series of Instagram posts. In the first snap shared with her 163K followers, Amy posted an adorable snap holding her one-year-old daughter, Bonnie's hand.

She captioned the post: "Morning snuggles before mama goes to work this morning. For all the parents out there going back to work and leaving their babies...stay strong, we've got this", as she posted some words of encouragements for anyone else finding themselves in the same position.
The post was followed a few hours later by a selfie of Amy alongside her co-star Roxy Shahidi, who plays Leyla Harding in Emmerdale, as they took a moment out from filming to work out.
Amy captioned the snap: "Throwing down on our lunch break just like the old days was the highlight of my day" followed by the hashtags #yogabuddies and #likenotimehas passed.
And it seems Amy is fully throwing herself back into the swing of things this week as in an earlier post she shared a snap of herself with a group of other familiar faces as she reunited with her Emmerdale 'family' to celebrate former co-star and actor Simon Cotton's debut in his new play, 'An Inspector Calls.'
Amy penned: "A great night last night with the @emmerdale gang watching this talented beautiful man. It's a great production of this iconic play! Well done @simoncottonactor, @fionawade1 we missed you!"
The actress left the soap to go on maternity leave last year as her character Tracy moved to Nottingham for a new job. The big move came after she discovered that her boyfriend at the time, Nate Robinson had slept with Fiona Murphy.
Amy briefly returned to her old stomping ground in October last year for the soaps 50th anniversary, however, now it seems she is back for good and we cannot wait to see what is in store for Tracy upon her return!
