Emmerdale's Amelia in danger as she's bombarded by creepy messages from stranger

Amelia Spencer could find herself in danger next week as she's bombarded by creepy messages on Emmerdale.

The young teenager - played by Daisy Campbell - has turned to social media in a bid to help raise the profile for the salon. She has been looking after it in Mandy Dingle's absence but when Mandy returns, the salon is in complete chaos.

Amelia is desperately trying to convince Mandy that this is the way forward and that social media will raise the profile for the salon going forward, whilst her dad Dan also needs convincing that the social media page could be a good thing.

He is less sure, worried what it might mean for her and her daughter Esther, but later he agrees to trust her instincts.

Amelia feels she's finally got something she's good at and wants to do, and she is thrilled when a subscriber offers to send a donation to her page. It seems like she's in the money, and with some coaching from Sarah, things are looking positive.

However, she ends up being bombarded with a creepy message and has to admit to Sarah about what's been going on. Dan is impressed when he hears Amelia's phone buzzing time and time again, but she is worried after receiving another creepy message.

Glad she's making money from her page, she heads off shopping whilst Dan seems very proud, but yet knows how little he understands about this digital world. Is Amelia in danger as the creepy messages flood in?

Amelia gave birth to her first child in huge scenes last October as part of the soap's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Speaking to The Mirror about those scenes at the time, she said: "It’s crazy to think I came into the show at seven as a child and now ten years later I’m having my own baby. It’s gone really quick and I’m an adult in the show now, which is weird. I feel really lucky to be part of it. Filming was very intense. I was jogging, I was doing star-jumps in between takes. I needed to be out of breath!

"I spent weeks researching and practising the scenes. I took advice from Rosie Bentham, whose character Gabby had a baby last year. She told me to watch One Born Every Minute. With mine being a teen pregnancy, I wanted to see how differently teens gave birth. I thought they’d be more vulnerable, but we had an advisor on set who said that wasn’t the case. I played on that. If you look back at my internet searches, every one was about teen birth. I’m a pro now! I know to take lots of deep breaths and not to push too hard."
