Emmerdale 's Aaron Dingle will make a 'cold' decision next week on the ITV soap, in the fallout to recent tragedy - and ahead of a bombshell.
Aaron decides it's time to leave the village again, days on from the death of his sister Liv Flaherty who was killed in the storm.
After Liv's death, Aaron blamed his mum Chas for her being in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the character crushed by a caravan.
Aaron had found out about Chas' affair with Al Chapman, and despite her claims she had called it off he realised they were still meeting up.
Chas was meeting with Al in the village when she was struck by debris, and had to be rushed to hospital.
With her husband Paddy Kirk and son Aaron wanting to see her, Liv and her husband Vinny offered to go to the pub to look after Chas' young daughter.
It was during this journey that Liv got struck by the caravan, with Aaron telling Chas that had it not have been for her seeing Al, Liv wouldn't have had to leave her house and wouldn't have died.
In upcoming scenes, Chas will emotionally blackmail Aaron into not saying anything about the affair, and even encourages him to leave.
She plays on his emotions and plays down what he saw, and it seems Aaron does decide to go.
Spoilers for next week reveal he prepares to exit, but not before making it clear he and his mother are not on good terms.
His uncle Cain is curious over what Aaron is upset about, and why the pair are not getting along - leading to the discovery of her affair with Al.
Prior to this, Aaron prepares to leave and says his goodbyes to his loved ones, minus Chas.
Chas' first thoughts are what Aaron might have revealed about her affair, never mind the fact he's going away again.
Having enough, Aaron coldly cuts off any future the two of them might have and disowns his mum for good.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with am hour-long episode on Thursdays.
