Emmerdale aired a twist in the search for missing Samson Dingle on the ITV soap on Friday.
The teenager stormed off after a row with his dad Sam Dingle on Monday, and was never seen again.
On Thursday night, fans were alerted to the fact something might have happened to the teenager, as it emerged no one knew where he was.
His stepmother Lydia Dingle was at the hospital with her husband Sam, after he was nearly killed following a cow stampede.
As Sam's fate was revealed, Belle Dingle rushed home to inform her nephew Samson of the good news only to find out his bed hadn't been slept in.
It's then that her dad Zak revealed Samson hadn't been home, and he'd believed his grandson was at the hospital with Lydia.
In the latest episode, Belle, Lydia and other family members set out to find the missing youngster believing him to be in danger.
Belle, Lydia and Samson's cousin Nate Robinson all headed to an area where Samson would have been, during his planned journey to a friend's house.
While they were searching the woodlands and surrounding field area, Belle was horrified to find Samson's smashed-up phone on the floor.
Lydia began screaming out for him hoping to find him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
As the trio headed off to search more of the area, Lydia shared her fears about a tunnel underneath them and was worried he had fallen in.
Sure enough, the camera soon panned down to the lower ground area and into the tunnel, and Samson was shown lying lifeless.
The teen was covered entirely in leaves apart from some of his face, and he didn't appear to be conscious.
With Samson possibly buried alive in the storm, and no one able to spot him, it seems time is running out for him - if it hasn't already.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts with some suggesting foul play, and many predicting he would die - but others noticed something that could confirm he is alive.
One fan tweeted: "So Samson is lying down in almost the same place where Graham got murdered I did see his eye move so I don’t think he’s dead. #Emmerdale."
Another added: "Perfectly placed leaves so we can see Samson's eyes moving."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
