Emmerdale has teased the new owners of Eric Pollard's B&B, following his decision to step down from the business after years of running it.
Eric initially announced his plans to retire with partner Brenda, and confirmed to Bernice Blackstock there was a position going as a manager.
Recently, fans have seen the character decide to sell up after he offered to buy his son David Metcalfe's shop from him, due to his money issues.
The B&B is now looking for new owners, and new spoilers have hinted at two characters who are possibly taking over from Eric in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap.
According to teasers, Many Dingle will suggest to Bob Hope and Bernice that they buy the business together, having both expressed an interest in a new work venture.
With Bernice previously hoping to get a job there, she is now hopeful that she can instead buy it with the help of Bob.
Soon enough, Bob and Bernice agree to go into business together and Mandy's worried that she's created a monster - but will Eric accept them as the new owners, and will anything get in the way?
It comes after soap producer Jane Hudson teased the shake-up to The Mirror and other press, in December last year.
Speaking about what was ahead in 2023, she spilled: "We're gonna have some new owners at the B&B, I'm not going to tell you who new owners are but let's just say it's very boutique, and the decor is very glamorous.
"It's got an absolute touch of class and it's just on the right side of not being cheesy. It's going to be two owners who are not a couple."
Jane also teased what was ahead later on in 2023, saying: "We're storylining June at the minute. We are busy working on our summer storylines at the moment cos I always like to have a bit of a summer spectacular."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
