Emmerdale airs the fallout to Caleb Miligan's attack next week on the ITV soap, and new spoilers have teased his fate.
In upcoming scenes the villain is shoved off a ridge in the woods, sending him falling to the ground below.
The character is left fighting for his life and will be rushed to hospital, while the mystery culprit is yet to be confirmed.
A number of suspects have been revealed for the crime, while plenty of characters would have the motive to want Caleb dead.
Caleb will be left in a coma, and his hospital dash leads to the return of a character as the police try to work out who did it.
It follows the big reveal that Caleb is the son of Frank Tate, and was plotting to destroy Frank's ex-wife Kim Tate in revenge.
He ended up throwing his own family under the bus though, and his lies to those around him have made him public enemy number one.
Someone takes deadly revenge, pushing Caleb off the cliff edge and trying to kill him.
Next week, as speculation is rife over who carried out the crime several residents are trying to prove their innocence.
Everyone is acting as though they have something to hide though, as Chas Dingle stays by her brother's bedside.
Their brother Cain is also there despite their run-in, and it isn't long before the police are asking a lot of questions.
Caleb's son Nicky Miligan makes his return to the village after learning of his father's accident, having fled in a recent episode.
Cruel Caleb attacked his son and tried to frame him for fleecing Kim, or attempting to, after Nicky pulled out of their big plan.
Caleb had tried to force Nicky into marrying Gabby Thomas despite him being gay, as all Caleb cared about was the money they could steal from the Tate estate.
After Nicky was attacked by Caleb after he told Gabby the truth about his sexuality, the character's whereabouts have been a mystery but next week he's back.
The character is left emotional as he sees the state his dad is in, as the family are told Caleb might be being brought out of his coma that day.
But will the doctors be successful and will Caleb be okay?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
