Emmerdale have finally revealed who really killed Al Chapman.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and his arch nemesis Al - played by Michael Wildman - were locked in a fist fight last week, as Cain blasted his enemy for conducting an affair with Cain's sister Chas. Fans have been speculating all week who might have pulled the trigger, as the moment was never shown on screen with Cain just shown holding the gun.
The plea hearing was held today, as the Dingles - including Cain's wife Moira Dingle - gathered at the court to see how Cain would plead. They were all left stunned when he pleaded guilty, with the judge warning him there would definitely be a custodial sentence.
Reeling from the news, Moira came home and had a heated conversation with Amy and Mackenzie as her kids watched on. Seeing how much it upset them, she rushed to the prison, asking for an emergency meeting with Cain.
As they sat down, Cain asked what was going on, to which an angry Moira replied: "That's it, that's all you've got to say to me?"
"You said it was an emergency," Cain replied, as Moira fumed with him over what he'd done: "I don't know why I'm surprised. I should have expected you to push me away because you always do. I thought it was because you were scared."
"But you weren't afraid were you, because the man I thought I knew would have fought anyway and done everything he can to fight and try and get back with his kids," she concluded, before continuing: "Do you have any idea the damage you've caused?"
"The boys are a mess. Isaac won't stop asking for you and Kyle, I don't know where to start with him," she warned as she explained Kyle is struggling, and said she would end up taking him to a doctor to try and get him some help. Cain quickly begged her not to.
An angry Moira told him he wasn't able to make those decisions now he was in prison, but Cain insisted. She went to leave, but he pulled her back and warned her not to. He said there would be far reaching consequences if she did and continued to press her and ask about Kyle and how he was doing and if he was ok.
"You can't let Kyle speak to anyone," he said, as she asked why. Cain then revealed who had killed Al - explaining why he had allowed his arrest, and why he had pleaded guilty. "Because it was him Moira. I didn't shoot Al, Kyle did," he told a stunned Moira.
