Emmerdale fans believe they've 'worked out' who will save Dawn Taylor from evil serial killer Meena Jutla, amid her attempt to kill her and her husband Billy Fletcher.
Fans have guessed a former resident linked to Dawn will make a shock return to the village, and might be the one to bring Meena down for once and for all.
The character in question, Dawn's ex Jamie Tate, is presumed dead by those in the village, so it would be quite the twist.
It comes amid fears Harriet Finch will be killed off on the show, following an attack, as other lives remain in danger.
Dawn's young son Lucas appears to have been kidnapped by killer Meena, who has since abducted his mother Dawn and her husband Billy in a revenge plan.
Meena was shown shooting Leyla Cavanagh in the latest episode too, before Harriet was shown lifeless on the ground with blood pouring out of her head.
Many fans are now convinced Harriet is dead in a twist, not sure she could have survived the injury she appeared to sustain - with some fans questioning if she had been shot.
Now, one viewer has guessed Jamie will make a surprise return to the village this week to rescue Dawn and take down Meena.
They commented: "Well I have a feeling Jamie may be the one who saves Dawn.
"I think he is the one who has been watching Dawn, could be wrong but there's talk of Jamie Tate coming back so maybe this is the cue for his grand entrance, and maybe the one to bring Meena down."
The comment was liked by other fans who no doubt predicted the same, as others thought he could have been the one targeting Dawn instead.
Dawn's wedding dress was destroyed and things kept going wrong at work at the vets, where Jamie also used to work.
Some fans believed he might be targeting his ex, while it does appear now that this was all Meena's doing.
Jamie would possibly want payback on Meena too, given one of her victims was his former wife Andrea.
Andrea's death left their young daughter devastated, so could Jamie be back to get revenge?
It was recently teased the storyline of his own apparent death would be revisited this year, after his car crash last year - while fans know he is alive and away from the village.
