Lisa Riley has been praised for 'normalising' a beauty ritual as she posted a candid snap on her Instagram. The Emmerdale favourite from Bury sparked a discussion after she shared her routine to tend to her top lip.
The soap star posed makeup free with a towel wrapped around her head as she bleached her upper lip hair. Lisa, 46, who has played the iconic character Mandy Dingle from 1995 to 2001, reprising the role in 2019, had a laugh with fans as she said the home treatment needs to be done every couple of months.
"Yes that Saturday morning ritual that needs to be done about every six to seven weeks….otherwise…as I discovered yesterday in selfies you look like you have brown gravy on your top lip in photos PMSL!!!" she joked.

At the weekend former Strictly Come Dancing star Lisa shared a loved-up snap of herself enjoying some fresh air on a walk in Yorkshire with her fiance Al. Lisa hasn't revealed her partner's surname and rarely shares pictures of her man.
"BEAUTIFUL little hidden gem, tucked away in YORKSHIRE is 'Robin Hoods Bay' not far from WHITBY. On a day like today it’s absolutely perfect for a really long walk, feel free and discover. I recommend it, if you’ve never been." she wrote.
The couple got engaged in 2018. "Yes I can now confirm the rumours are true....I have got engaged..." Lisa said at the time. "My soul mate and best mate and love of my life Al is the best thing to have ever happened to me....we have absolutely NO date set for ANY wedding day, just happy together...zero fuss, just firmed our togetherness."
The day after Valentine's Day she shared her love for her man as she said: "Love you Bubs it feels so much better to say it today rather than yesterday…..where everyone was FORCED into saying it it has more sincerity it seems by sharing it today…….it’s a lot more less conformist HAPPY 15th Feb 'National I Don’t Want To Be.
