The star, known as Aaron Dingle, who said his brief return to ‘an honour’ explained: “I’ve got a few things on at the end of the year - including a pantomime and other stuff. Perhaps we might see Danny back in the village in 10 years for Emmerdale’s 60th anniversary. Although, he joked he might be in major movies by then.
“It depends how many kids I’ve got then and how much of my mortgage needs paying,” Danny said in jest. “There’s never a chance of me saying ‘I’ll never go back’. Although obviously when I get the James Bond role things might be different.”
Danny said he was a little shaken and stirred being back in Emmerdale playing popular character Aaron Dingle. He said: “I didn’t want people to think I was just slotting back in or that it’s easy. I do keep in touch with lots of the cast and crew - so it felt as if I hadn’t been away in that sense. It’s been a nice experience to come back and be part of the show at such a monumental time."
