Emmerdale's Manpreet Sharma vanishes next week on the ITV soap, leaving her friends concerned.
The character is in turmoil as she faces her killer sister Meena Jutla in court for her plea hearing, days after Meena tried to frame her for Andrea Tate's death.
After everything Meena has put her through with her kidnapping her and trying to kill her, never mind the fact Manpreet learned her sister was a serial killer, the character is in a bad way.
Struggling to cope and panicked over the fact she has been asked to testify against her evil sibling, Manpreet fears for her future and her safety.
Manpreet attends the plea hearing, as Meena surprises everyone by pleading guilty to her first charge - while it's clear she is up to something.
Whether Meena will plead guilty to Andrea's death or retry to frame her sister for the crime remains to be told, and viewers will find out next week.
But as the pressure gets to Manpreet, she ends up having a panic attack and is inconsolable about upcoming events.
She is soon in a state of sheer distress and fear, and heads off in her car without telling anyone where she is going.
As her fellow villagers panic about where she might be, Manpreet abandons both her car and her phone before disappearing into the night.
With her location unknown and people in the village starting to panic, will they be able to find her?
It comes as the latest episode which aired on Monday saw Manpreet visiting her twisted sister in prison for the first time.
When Manpreet visited Meena, she sat down hoping that her sister would confess to the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea and Ben Tucker.
But she was left shocked and disturbed when Meena brought up the fact that Manpreet lied to the police about Liam’s part in her fall from the bridge.
Meena asserted that they both have to take responsibility for their actions – meaning that Manpreet will have to reveal that she lied to the police in her statement to protect Liam.
An outraged Manpreet then slapped her sister, after which Meena seemed to agree that she would confess to everything.
But as Manpreet sat in the prison visiting room across the table from her murderous sister Meena, many fans were quick to note that as a witness and a victim of her serial killer sister's crimes, it is highly unlikely she should be visiting Meena ahead of the trial.
