Emmerdale viewers have been predicting another twist is on the way, after news about newcomer Nicky's mother.
Several past characters have been tipped to be Nicky's mother, but one name in particular has been mentioned several times since a recent twist.
Just months ago, Nicky claimed that his mother had died when he was a teenager and that he helped raise is younger siblings.
He said that his dad wasn't really around as he couldn't cope with his grief, so he looked after his siblings instead.
But as a major twist unfolded on Thursday night, it emerged that Nicky had lied about his past.
It was confirmed that Nicky is the secret son of Caleb Miligan, and not only that but his grandfather is former character Frank Tate.
Caleb and Nicky's secret identities were exposed to viewers, and their secret link to the Tate family finally came to light.
That wasn't all though, as a comment made by Nicky to Caleb revealed his mother wasn't dead after all.
He threatened to tell his mother about Caleb sleeping with Leyla Harding, before revealing she was on the brink of homelessness due to Caleb losing all their money.
Caleb made it clear that he and his wife were no longer together, telling Nicky he needed to get used to the fact they were separated.
So Nicky's mum isn't dead and is very much alive, which means there is every chance she could arrive at some point.
The confession led to many viewers wondering who she was, and whether we might have already met her on the ITV soap.
While there is every chance she is a new character, some fans speculated she was a familiar face.
Taking to Twitter, fans began to predict that either Tina Dingle, Sadie King, newcomer Faye or even Kerry Wyatt would be revealed as Nicky's mother.
But despite Tina being the sister of Caleb's brother Cain Dingle, most fans seemed convinced Tina was the likely character to be Caleb's wife.
One viewer said: "I reckon nickys mother must be Tina Dingle then oooooooo interesting."
Another tweeted: "I think it will be a very old character coming back?! Like Sadie King or Tina Dingle?"
A third fan added: "Tina dingle? Sadie king?" as a fourth fan said: "I wonder who Nicky’s mum is? I’m thinking either Tina Dingle or Kerry Wyatt?"
More details are set to be revealed about Caleb and his family, and what led him to the village to get revenge on Kim Tate - with him planning on taking back what he's owed.
