Emmerdale fans have been left fearful for Marcus Dean after a new arrival has left him uncomfortable in scenes on the ITV soap this week.
Marcus (Darcy Grey) has been left highly suspicious of Greg, Ethan's boss, after the pair invited him over for a meal this week in the hopes of blossoming Ethan's career as a solicitor.
While the dinner got off to a cracking start, things took a turn when Ethan slipped out for a moment for more drinks, leaving Marcus wondering what Greg’s intentions might be.
As the pair continued to drink, Greg told Marcus he wasn't what he expected as Ethan's boyfriend due to his serious nature, adding: "You seem like somebody who knows how to have fun."
He continued: "I bet you've got from stories. I was your age once. Young, free and single," as Marcus corrected him by saying: "Except I'm not single."
The duo were interrupted by the arrival of Ethan who returned with more alcohol, with Greg admitting he had led Marcus astray.
It was clear that Marcus felt uneasy around Greg and he was about to tell Ethan how he felt, however stopped in his tracks when he could see how positive Ethan was feeling about getting on with his boss.
Marcus reiterated his fears in scenes on Friday evening as Greg and Ethan set up plans for the trio to meet for lunch.
Yet Emmerdale fans at home were left concerned for Marcus, with some suspecting Greg could offer him an ‘Indecent Proposal’, while other suggested the storyline could involve his dad Pierce Harris.
The character died this year on the soap while in prison, coinciding with the arrival of his secret estranged son Marcus in the village.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Didn’t Pierce (Marcus’s Dad) used to be a solicitor?? Is this why Marcus is acting weird with Ethan’s boss. Is there some history going on???”
A second added: “I've thought Greg could make a move on Marcus (which causes trouble). Marcus accused of being a groomer? (Maybe the injustice morphing Marcus into Pierce 2.0?)”
Another penned ominously: “That boss is a creep.. This storyline is going to take a dark turn.. Poor Marcus.”
“Yes Emmerdale likes sensational jaw dropping storylines but now it could be an indecent proposal with Marcus and Ethan's boss,” another suggested.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
