Emmerdale fans think they have spotted the link between Caleb Milligan and his downfall - before spoilers revealed he could be making a permanent exit from the village.
Viewers of the ITV soap are now well aware of Caleb's plans to bring down Kim Tate and get his hands on Home Farm after it was revealed he is the son of her late ex-husband Frank Tate. The newcomer, played by Will Ash, first made his appearance in the village as the long-lost brother of Cain and Chas Dingle.
And after helping get Cain and his son Kyle Winchester off the hook for the murder of Al Chapman with his flashy legal contacts, he set his sights on working his way into Kim's good books. Meanwhile, he has instructed his son, Nicky, to also get in with the family and after getting a job as the family's nanny, he is now set to wed Gabby Thomas despite having no genuine interest in her as he is gay.

As he continues on with his plan, which has included sabotaging sister-in-law Moira's business so that she sells up the farm, Monday night's episode of Emmerdale (June 5) saw Caleb inform Nicky the last part of the plan was in motion and that he planned to steal Kim's money at the same time that Gabby and Nicky say their 'I do's'.
But Emmerdale fans couldn't help but notice that oblivious Caleb keeps humming and singing the Neil Diamond song that Kim loves, the one he also repeatedly played much to Chas' confusion, to help him hack into Kim's computer and her accounts.
@deanobeanos tweeted: "So Neil diamond's going to be the downfall is it #Emmerdale." @pam_debeauvoir posted: "Caleb had better stop singing Neil Diamond songs....as if Kim didn't hear him already #Emmerdale." @itzzzo_ noted: "I'd laugh if what made Kim be onto Caleb is him singing her favourite Neil Diamond song #Emmerdale."
However, fans' comments came before Emmerdale's latest spoilers were released and revealed that Caleb will soon be in mortal peril. It comes after Nicky tells Gabby he is gay and can't go through the wedding after she emotionally asks him, while ready to tie the knot, if he'll officially adopt her son, Thomas.
Gabby is sideswiped by the news and totally distraught. Meanwhile, Caleb panics when he hears Nicky has pulled out of the wedding and confronting his son, punches him hard in the face. Nicky’s stunned that his dad is casting him adrift when he orders Nicky to take the fall when he empties the Home Farm accounts.
Frustrated, Caleb then tries to get in touch with Adrian and fast-track his plan but he’s alarmed on logging in to find Kim’s bank accounts already empty. And soon Caleb’s façade slips when he’s confronted by an angry Kim. With his time seemingly up, it is Cain who is left seething next week when he finds Caleb’s taken up residence in the B&B.
Eager to prevent a fight, Nate suggests they let the family decide Caleb’s fate. That afternoon, the Dingle Court - made up of Belle, Cain, Charity, Chas, Moira, Nate, Noah, Sam, Zak - convenes to debate Caleb. The court is thrown on its head when the defendant himself makes a surprise appearance, resolute he’s staying in the village.
The next day, Moira does her utmost to deter Cain from revenge while at Home Farm, Gabby, despite still struggling with her heartbreak. Meanwhile, Leyla rejects Caleb when he tries to apologise. But he soon finds solace in the arms of another, none other than Charity who is gutted to see Mack and Chloe getting close and offers Caleb a drink.
The next day, Charity and Caleb agree to keep last night a secret. He is soon in a tense altercation with Gabby and later, while trying to woo Leyla, a bust up between Charity and Mackenzie leads to the shock revelation that captures the attention of the entire pub as Charity reveals she slept with Caleb.
Jealous Mack squares up to Caleb but it's not just Mack he needs to worry about as back at Home Farm with an upset Gabby, Will simmers with anger on her behalf. Meanwhile Cain’s unimpressed to hear what Charity has done and before long Cain is apoplectic to hear Vinny is selling up to Caleb.
So when Caleb goads Cain, he lunges for Caleb and Chas and Moira pull Cain away. A while later, Caleb further enrages Mack, who only came to apologise for their previous confrontation, and burning with fury, Mack ominously assures him there will be consequences.
While Will is still seething at Caleb, David reassures Leyla as he does his utmost to prevent Leyla from relapsing, promising there will be an opportunity for them to watch Caleb’s comeuppance from the side lines. That afternoon, the villagers all unite against Caleb during a tense altercation in the pub.
Squaring up to them all Caleb takes verbal potshots at each of them. Exasperated with the spectacle, Chas throws him out whilst the others glare bloody murder. Caleb soon walks away but unbeknownst to him, a mystery figure pursues him. That evening, out on a woodland ridge, Caleb’s blindsided when the unknown figure rushes out and pushes him over the edge, leaving his lifeless body sprawls on the ground below.
Back in the village, a number of suspicious characters all return from mysterious outings. Under a peaceful Yorkshire view, Caleb’s body lies lifeless at the bottom of the ridge with who pushed him, and whether he'll make it out alive, remains unclear.
