Emmerdale fans work out Caleb push prime suspect – and it's not Mack

Emmerdale fans have suggested an unlikely prime suspect for the attempted murder of Caleb.

Caleb Miligan, the long lost brother of Cain Dingle, has managed to upset almost everyone in the village. For his trouble he's in intensive care having been shoved off a ridge.

But who pushed him? Considering the number of people who'd like him gone there's a fair few suspects for Emmerdale woefully unrealistic detectives to quiz. Spoilers follow.

At the end of Monday's episode Mackenzie ends up in handcuffs on suspicion of attempting to whack Caleb. But as one Emmerdale fan – with experience of soap plot twists – points out: "They have arrested Mack so it obviously wasn’t him."

Everyone in the episode is acting suspiciously to muddy the water. But viewers reckon it's someone conspicuous by his absence.

@pceeg7 says: "That son of his, Nicky! He has lost everything including his boyfriend.

Emmerdale viewers think too-nice-to-be-true nanny Nicky may be linked to a past character out for revenge (ITV)

"His father Caleb beat him up and told him that he was going to steal money from Kim Tate and he was going to set him up to be the fall guy. So I think he did it as revenge."

@spartacus2963: "The absence of Nicky, while welcome, is incriminating! He’ll probably pay Caleb a visit in hospital at some point."

@BenthamFans: "I’m guessing it’s Nicky what [sic] pushed Caleb for payback."

@twellywatcher: "Some of the family start to show concern and it’s anyone’s guess as to whether Nicky will show up or not."

@JamieSummersTV: "Caleb beat up his son. His son will have got revenge."

@Pinkladyxxxxx: "I don't think it was Cain, I am putting odds on Nick."
