Emmerdale viewers were left divided as Jacob Gallagher sparked a turning point for Leyla Cavanagh.
Jacob has been forced to put his uni plans on pause and support his mum Leyla after her overdose - especially after her decision not to seek help.
During tonight’s episode of the ITV hit soap both Jacob and Leyla's husband Liam were horrified when Leyla decided she’d be staying with a friend rather than go to rehab.

While walking around the village looking for sympathy, she bumped into Jacob at the shop where she moaned that people didn’t have any faith in her.
Furious Jacob was not convinced that she could kick her addiction without professional help and couldn’t help but raise his voice.
He raged: "Faith? Are you joking,” and then left his mum speechless as he showed her a distressing photo from the hospital where she was hooked up to feeding and breathing tubes while in a coma.
He told her: "That's you. Heart failing. Comatose. Nearly dead. That's what me and Liam went through. That there." Jacob asked plainly if she loved her family and, if so, how could she turn down the help she so desperately needs.
After the intense moment Leyla had a change of heart as she later returned home to apologise to Liam admitting she'd been a "mess" in the hospital.
Liam assured his wife as she promised to go to rehab to save their marriage and her relationship with everyone in the village.
While some viewers were pleased that Leyla was finally getting the help she needed, some claimed Jacob’s reaction was to “negative.”

@itzzzo_ added: “Not one for the photo album now is it? Jacob "remember this one mom when you were a crackhead?" #Emmerdale.”
