Emmerdale may have dropped a major clue that Kim Tate will murder Caleb Miligan in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, or that she knows the truth about his shocking plan against her.
There was quite the nod to the past on Thursday night, as a scene echoed another very similar moment from 1997 on the show.
The similarities left viewers stunned, with many predicting that it foreshadowed Caleb's demise at the hands of Kim.
If fans are correct, the nod to the past was a sign history is about to repeat itself, almost 30 years on from an iconic and deadly moment on the show.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted an 'easter egg' of sorts in a scene involving Kim and Caleb, and were quick to pick up on its relevance.
They said it could not be a coincidence and had to mean something, ahead of Kim working out Caleb's true identity and his revenge plan against her.
Caleb is the secret son of Kim's ex-husband Frank Tate, who died from a heart attack in 1997.
He'd been wrongly framed for Kim's death after she fled the village and pretended to be dead. So when Kim suddenly returned and plotted to fleece him, an argument ensued.
Frank suffered a major heart attack, and Kim watched him as he laid dying on the floor begging for help. Instead, she threw away his pills and didn't call for help, before leaving him alone.
Something she did just as she walked away has always been deemed ruthless, with her seen placing her make-up powder mirror over Frank's mouth to check for any signs of life.
She then used it to apply her powder on her face, before brutally walking away.
So you can imagine the shock on the faces of viewers on Thursday night when the same brand of make-up and same mirror was used in a scene.
Of course it looked a little different to that from the 90s, but Kim was shown using the same green mirror just as Frank's secret son Caleb walked into the room.
The scene started with Kim staring into it and applying her lipstick, just as Frank's secret son walked in and complimented her.
Viewers immediately noticed this apparent nod to the past, and believed it was history repeating itself given decades apart, the same mirror had been used in a scene with a Tate, and not just any Tate.
It got viewers questioning whether Kim knows about Caleb and his plan to avenge Frank, and to steal everything she owns - just like she stole from Frank all those years ago.
The mirror had to have significance, and fans are convinced it's a nod to the past that could foreshadow the death or end of Caleb in upcoming scenes.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "By the shot with the mirror, we'd say yes. Foreshadowing. It happened in this ep," alongside an image from Frank's death - later adding: "That can't be a coincidence, can it?"
Another replied: "omg so true about the mirror can’t believe i didn’t pick up on that!" as a third said: "i really hope kim already knows about caleb and is tricking him."
As viewers began to predict it signalled the downfall of Caleb, another fan wrote: "Queen kim tate has still got it x" and one said: "This is amazing!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
