Emmerdale fans spotted an issue with Aaron Dingle's return storyline as Danny Miller returned to the role.
Aaron left the village last year after his half-sister Liv was wrongly incarcerated for the murder of Ben Tucker. Danny departed the show following the birth of his son Albert and to enter the I'm A Celebrity castle.
Since, Aaron has been away from the soap, he has been on quite an adventure but now he is back to make amends with his sibling. However, things got difficult fast as Aaron was caught up in a fight with evil Terry, causing Harriet to arrest him.
Excited fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Danny being back on the soap.
"Am I the only one who screamed so loud when they saw Aaron I’m so happy he’s back even if it’s only for a few episodes @DannyBMiller, wish you was coming back full time #Emmerdale," one wrote"
A second shared: "THE KING IS BACK @DannyBMiller #Emmerdale."
"And with that Aaron Dingle is back in the room... well in Mill Cottage his home and the drama begins again," a third wrote, whilst a fourth penned, "Aaron's home and immediately gets drawn into a punch up! Protective big brother mode activated. #Emmerdale."
However, some fans picked out an issue with the storyline, not understanding why Harriet had to question Aaron if he was acting in self-defence after he caught Terry assaulting his half-sister.
"Aaron is innocent he was only defending for his sister Terry deserved to be beaten up shame on you Harriet the village witch," one penned as another added: "Typical copper arresting the guy for beating up a burglar who assaulted your family #Emmerdale."
A third wrote: "Don’t think Aaron should be arrested though terry broke in the house and attacked liv? Aaron was defending?"
Danny previously admitted to The Mirror that he found it "nerve-wracking" heading back to the soap.
He told The Mirror: "It was nerve-racking and quite anxiety-provoking. My wife Steph is absolutely amazing and she always calms me down, which is obviously the reason I married her. We always let each other know how we feel, so the day before I went back to Emmerdale, I said to her, 'I'm feeling really anxious.'
"I'd thought of staying over in a hotel the night before but I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. I’d have been a nervous wreck because she wasn’t there. I’ve just had 12 months off, so my brain hasn’t really been exercised in that way for a whole year."
Danny explained how Aaron's dramatic returning storyline is just the ticket for him coming back to the soap.
"It absolutely happens at the wrong time. He walks in, sees a stranger in his house, he could be anybody. But given the state of panic, Aaron deals with it by punching as always. Just as that happens, Harriet walks in, so she has no choice but to arrest him," he shared.
