Emmerdale fans spotted a hilarious gaffe on the ITV soap on Thursday evening, as Mackenzie Boyd made a surprise return to the village.
Mack has been struggling with where he stands with Charity Dingle, but returned to the Dales after his sister Moira Barton dumped Charity in the middle of nowhere at the side of the road.
Nobody was more surprised than Charity when Mack pitched up and drove her back to the village, where they decided on a drink at the Woolpack.
But siblings Moira and Mack had just chosen this setting to take revenge on Charity, airing her supposed kiss with ex-partner Vanessa Woodfield.
However, ITV viewers were quick to point out the scene wasn't quite the moment of public humiliation the siblings had hoped for, as the pub was empty.
When the time came to humiliate Charity in the pub and confront her about the near-kiss, fans took to Twitter to label the moment a missed opportunity.
One viewer wrote: “Charity with her public humiliation by Mack, in The Woolpack in front of Vanessa and Moira. Whoa full on public humiliation.”
A second fan added: “I would hardly call that a public humiliation considering there was about 4 other people there and it wasn't even humiliating, but ok.”
Another added: “To publicly humiliate, the pub was hardly full to the brim, was it…”
A fourth said jokingly: “How to publicly humiliate someone according to Mackenzie: shout at the landlord with the only people present, your sister and her ex.”
“'Publicly humiliated' in an empty pub!”, another viewer added.
After confronting her about the kiss and calling Charity a “liar” and a “horrible person”, Mack finally declared that he had achieved his goal of “publicly humiliating” her - in his mind anyway.
Elsewhere on Thursday’s hour-long instalment of the ITV soap, Emmerdale fans were thrown as Nate Robinson made a return after months of absence from screen of the Dales drama.
Nate (Jurell Carter) has been missing from soap screens ever since Tracy Metcalfe’s (Amy Walsh) exit from Emmerdale, while the actress is on maternity leave after welcoming her first child with EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith in December.
Tracy is spending time away from the village working in Nottingham after she was offered an exciting job.
While she was initially unsure if she should take it, concerned about her relationship with Nate and taking young Frankie away from her dad, Nate persuaded her to go and reset after a difficult year.
It's not clear where Nate has been all this time, as he hasn't been on screen since then, but it doesn't appear he was away from the village.
Nate finally returned to Emmerdale screens on Thursday evening amid the heartbreak, leaving fans questioning where the character has been since he last appeared in January.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “More to the point why has Nate not been seen since she left in January (before tonight).”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
