Emmerdale fans were not impressed on Tuesday evening after Manpreet Sharma was grilled by the police thanks to her sister Meena Jutla.
Meena is desperately trying to wriggle her way out of being charged for multiple murders and is playing her usual evil games.
During the latest instalment of the ITV soap, Detective Rogers was seen approaching Manpreet in the village and told her he wanted to ask her a few more questions down at the police station.
"This has got Meena written all over it," Manpreet sighed as she reluctantly got into the officer's car.
During her questioning, Detective Rogers explained that Meena has claimed Manpreet murdered Andrea because she wanted to get back with Charles Anderson - who was dating Andrea at the time.
"This is insane, why are you believing these lies? I thought you were supposed to be intelligent!" Manpreet told the officer.
"Detective Rogers, I urge you to remember the reason you arrested her in the first place. Do you really believe I would kill someone just to get close to Charles again?" she added.
However, viewers were quick to slam the "stupid" storyline development - and some even pointed out a plot blunder.
"How could Manpreet have killed Andrea when she plunged 60ft into a waterfall and was with Charles the whole time??? Make it make sense # Emmerdale," one person posted.
Another said: "I wonder if the guy playing the detective is embarrassed by this storyline #Emmerdale."
A third viewer asked: "Could this storyline be any more ridiculous? #emmerdale," and a fourth added: "This plot is beyond stupid #emmerdale."
Someone else fumed: "Do the police seriously think Meena was telling the truth. Could they be anymore incompetent! #Emmerdale."
At the end of the episode, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) approached Manpreet as she arrived home from the station.
Looking shellshocked, Manpreet explained to him that the police think she could have killed Andrea.
"Ohhhhhh of course because all of the evidence points in that direction," an angry Liam replied.
"This is ridiculous she's never going to admit to what she's done, is she?" he added.
"It doesn't look like it, no," Manpreet responded as she began to worry about what other people would think.
"Lydia saw me being carted away this morning. I've only just got people on side and now I'm back to square one," Manpreet explained.
"She is never going to admit to what she's done. All she wants to do is bring me down with her, and she's succeeding isn't she?"
