Emmerdale viewers have been left fuming at Eric as he decides to report his long-time friend Sam to the police.
Sam has been struggling financially, especially after Dan urged the family to help out Amelia Spencer, the mother of his grandchild.
He also has no idea that his own son Samson has blackmailed Noah into giving him £2,000 to stay away from Amelia and baby Esther.

Last night Eric caught Sam trying to steal nappies from the shop and as he tried to run away, he was tackled outside.
During tonight’s episode of the ITV soap Sam was left worried as he is now in trouble with the police. In an attempt to smooth things over he paid Eric and David a visit and apologised for the misunderstanding but Eric was having none of it as he lashed out at his pal.
Eric insisted that Sam has ruined their 30-year friendship and he will be going ahead with the police report. Viewers watching at home were left fuming with Eric as they claimed he should forgive Sam because they have been friends for many years.
@RyanTheSoapking Tweeted: “ I feel sorry for Sam. He is struggling financially and knocked over Eric by accident. Eric should cut Sam some slack #Emmerdale."
