Emmerdale fans are convinced newcomer Alex is up to something, as some predicted a sinister twist regarding Dawn Taylor.
Ahead of wedding horror for Dawn prior to her nuptials with Billy Fletcher, fans have guessed Alex might be to blame for upcoming torment - as Dawn's wedding dress is deliberately ruined when someone breaks into her home.
Newcomer Alex made a return this week which spooked his ex Dawn, after their previous encounter went very wrong.
Alex re-entered Dawn's life last month in the hopes of proving he had changed, and he wanted access to their young son Lucas.
It's then that viewers learned it was Alex who deliberately got Dawn hooked on drugs, including heroin, in a bid to stop her ever leaving him.
Dawn's battle with drug addiction almost killed her, and it's taken a lot for her to get her life back on track - and for her to become Lucas' main guardian again.
So when Alex headed to the village last month and then nearly kidnapped Lucas, Dawn was in turmoil and told him to leave.
In Alex's defence, evil serial killer Meena Jutla, who will soon return, got inside his head and made him think Lucas was in danger.
Furious with then-boyfriend Billy, who is now Dawn's fiancé, for helping her out, she decided to get revenge on Dawn.
Jealous of the clear feelings between Billy and Dawn, she lied to Alex that the couple were a danger to his son, and that someone needed to save him before it was too late.
Suggesting Billy was violent and Dawn was back on drugs, she made Alex think Lucas needed to get out of the house, so he tried to flee with him.
Luckily Billy stopped him and Alex was sent packing, but now he's back and wants to see his son.
After explaining Meena was behind it all, he hoped Dawn would let him see Lucas - but was furious with what she had to say.
Dawn said they needed to take it slow, so only allowed him minimal, supervised access at a much later date.
Alex was seen raging, as Billy defended Dawn, claiming it wasn't enough and that he deserved to see Lucas.
As Dawn refused to give in or tell him when he could see Lucas, she ended up leaving as the pair got nowhere.
Alex threatened Dawn with legal action and said it wasn't over, as she told him it could be months before he sees his son.
Alex was seen looking dodgy, and almost like he wasn't going to give up - but is he up to something?
Fans certainly thing so, with one writing on Twitter : "I still don't trust Alex. I wander if he's after something?"
Another agreed: "Alex wants custody so quickly. This shows that he cannot be trusted. Alex seems really angry as well. Dawn does need to speak to the social worker first."
A third viewer added: "I don’t trust Alex," while a fourth fan predicted: "It’ll be Alex who breaks into Dawns house and ruins Dawns wedding dress!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
