The secret is out of the bag after Emmerdale finally revealed the identity of Mackenzie's mystery lover in Wednesday night's episode after weeks of speculation. It comes after in scenes aired last month, Mack (played by Lawrence Robb) had a one-night stand and cheated on his girlfriend Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
Ever since fans have been sharing their theories as to who it could be with only two details giving the person's identity away - they were from the village and a brief shot of their hand in the hotel scene. It all came to head this week though, as Nate (Jurell Carter) accidently let slip of Mack's one-night stand in the company of Charity's son Ryan (James Moore).
Despite Ryan insisting Charity needed to know the truth, Mack threatened him in Tuesday evening's instalment and said he would deny any accusations. But the drama continued in last night's episode, when Mack received yet another phone call from his secret lover and decided to meet his one-night stand to put an end to the contact, The Mirror reports.
