Emmerdale viewers have "worked out" who attacked Caleb Milligan after he was found lying unconscious at the bottom of a cliff by Cain Dingle.
Caleb was left for dead on Thursday before waking up in hospital in the following episode.
It appeared Caleb got a glimpse of his attacker as he turned around to speak with his attacker before being pushed off the edge of a cliff.
The identity of the attacker has remained a secret to viewers but some fans suspect Caleb's son was behind the assault.
Sharing their theory in an Emmerdale forum, one Reddit user wrote: "Imma say it was Nicky who did that to Caleb. He ain’t around at the moment, and they didn’t show him on screen to make you think it was him. Maybe that’s too obvious but I’ll stick with it." (sic)

Another agreed: "I am totally with you on it being Nicky. Not only did Caleb (somehow) force him into a situation he ultimately didn't have the stomach to follow through with, he then punched Nicky in the face. His own son. In the aftermath, it cost Nicky the only love relationship he really wanted, with Ally.
"I don't think it is a stretch to say that he had the most motive as he was part of that ugly revenge plan the longest. Cain and Charity are the most volatile of the other suspects but it would surprise me if it was actually either of them. To me, that's too obvious."
Caleb's attack came after his plan to take down Kim Tate was exposed leaving many residents feeling betrayed.
Moira Dingle, Cain, Will Taylor, Mackenzie Boyd and Leyla Harding were all mocked by Caleb when his secret was exposed but, were any of them driven to violence?
Emmerdale fans will know Caleb forced his son Nicky to be apart of his revenge despite him begging his father in numerous occasions to give it up.
Nicky didn't share his father's appetite for revenge and wanted the opportunity to get to know his Dingle relatives in the village.
Will Caleb remember who tried to kill him and speak up or will he take revenge into his own hands?
