Emmerdale fans have made a glum prediction about Arthur's future in school, after the youngster came out as gay in tonight's episode. Arthur had been struggling to keep his sexuality secret in recent weeks, clearly battling with not feeling that he can tell anyone.
In tonight's episode, he lashed out at Jimmy and April. In one scene, he even told April to "find someone her own age" if she was "so desperate for a boyfriend".
And one person who overheard the exchange was Nicola, who knew immediately that Arthur must have been dealing with something. Having suffered through her own trauma, Nicola was well-placed to give Arthur a pep talk.
