Emmerdale fans in disbelief over Charity Dingle's hair transformation after blunder

Emmerdale 's Charity Dingle underwent quite the transformation on Thursday night, with a huge hair makeover.

Unfortunately it wasn't what she had planned, with just days to go until her wedding to Mackenzie Boyd.

Charity was getting her hair done ahead of the big day, and went to relative Mandy Dingle's salon for a new look.

But Mandy got distracted over some drama with Paddy Kirk and Chas Dingle, and ended up leaving her hair in the rollers for too long, while she also used the wrong products.

As Mandy released Charity's hair, she realised it was not the look she was going for and unveiled a giant perm.

Charity fumed that Sweeney Todd would have done a better job, and that she looked like a "demented poodle".

She began screaming in horror as Mandy apologised, but Charity was having none of it.

The character warned her she was going to pay for her to fix it, or she'd be after revenge.

Charity then headed home and revealed her hair disaster to Chas, with it being exposed to the whole pub.

Leyla Harding said it wasn't fixable and was a disaster, as Charity being crying about her wedding hair.

Viewers tuning into the episode shared their thoughts, with one fan writing: "Can’t cope with Charity’s hair."

Another tweeted: "Surprised the announcer didn't say, 'viewers may find some scenes upsetting' before Emmerdale started...he'd have been referring to Charity's disaster hair do."

It comes amid wedding carnage for the character, in scenes to air next week on the ITV soap.

Charity remains unaware that partner Mack cheated on her with Chloe Harris last summer, and Chloe fell pregnant.

Next week, spoilers have confirmed Chloe goes into labour on the pair's wedding day.

As the wedding day arrives, Charity and Mack are in a cell after being arrested over a misunderstanding. Soon enough they are freed, but both are left heartbroken to realise that it’s too late to get married so Mackenzie calls Cain, hoping he can help stall vicar Charles.

Just as it seems all hope is lost, Mack and Charity are thrown to see an A-team van roar into view with PC Swirling behind the wheel - with him clearly keen for the pair to have their big day.

They make it back to the village just in time and Charles agrees to marry Mack and Charity in their costumes. What Mack hasn't realised at this point is that secret fling Chloe is in labour, after her waters break the previous day.

After going to the hospital, Chloe experiences contractions by herself - leading to her sending a message to a mystery person.

When Sarah tells Mack and Charity that Chloe is the hospital and in labour, Mackenzie disappears with something ‘urgent’ to do - leaving Charity panicked - so will the day go ahead, and will Charity learn the truth?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
