Emmerdale fans lacked emotion as one character lost their mum.
Faith Dingle decided to end her health battle early on last night's episode as she made the difficult decision to take her own life. Emotional scenes showed her son, Cain Dingle, comforting her in her final moments as he told her he loved her before she took her final breath.
However, Faith's daughter, Chas, was nowhere to be seen. Instead she was busy spending the night with Al Chapman as they shared a night in a hotel.

Tonight's episode opened up to the morning after the night before as Chas noticed more than ten missed calls on her phone. Al had put her mobile on silent thinking that she needed a real break but when Chas realised she was furious, as her instincts told her something bad had happened.
She rushed home, only to find that her mum had already passed. She sat in shock on the stairs surrounded by her grieving family as she said: "She was so full of it this morning, taking selfies. She wasn't ready to go."
Chas added: "If I'd have known that she was this close to the end I would never have gone." Cain reassured his sister as he said: "She wasn't on her own, I was with her." Paddy, unknowing that his wife had been with another man behind his back, added: "Yeah, she would have wanted you to enjoy the day."
The mourning daughter looked wracked with guilt and sorrow, but fans on Twitter felt "no sympathy" for the adulterer. One user said: "Even though Al put her phone on silent I got no sympathy whatsoever for Chas knowing Faith has died...#Emmerdale #ITV".
Ryan said: "Won't be feeling any sympathy for Chas tonight just saying #Emmerdale." Another user added: "I don't really feel that bad for Chas like I feel a little bad for her because she lost her mum. If she was as the spa on her own then I would feel bad for her but the fact she was with Al, I don't feel that bad for her."
