Emmerdale fans have slammed the ITV soap's police for arresting Billy - but failing to capture evil serial killer Meena.
The police have barely investigated Meena's crimes, which include murdering Andrea Tate, Ben Tucker and Leanna Cavanagh and attempting to murder Victoria Sugden, Manpreet Sharma and Vinny Dingle.
And when Vinny thought he had finally found a way to get her for her crimes and ensure his girlfriend Liv was able to get out prison after she was jailed for allegedly murdering Ben, the police then told them they didn't have enough evidence.
So when Billy was arrested during tonight's show for apparently assaulting Dawn's ex Alex, fans took to Twitter to share their frustrations over the heavy police response to Billy's 'crime' but not to Meena's.
In scenes airing on tonight's show, Dawn was devastated as Billy was arrested at their home.
"You can't arrest him!" she shouted as the police told them: "We have no choice but to investigate this, it's a serious allegation of assault that's been made. Best we do this away from Lucas' eyes eh."
Nosy neighbour Brenda then appeared to ask if everything was alright, but Dawn wasn't having any of it.
"Oh bog off Brenda!" she told her, before adding to the police: "Billy has done nothing wrong."
"It'll be ok, I'll explain everything," he told her as he was taken away.
However, fans were left fuming as they felt Billy had been treated much more harshly than Meena ever was.
"Meanwhile serial killer Meena is just walking around the village police not interested in a 4 time killer. #emmerdale," one frustrated fan wrote as they slammed the police in the show.
A second added: "Police didn’t care when it was Meena but Billy #emmerdale."
Others also praised Billy for going off at the police for not capturing Meena for her crimes.
"Billy saying what we've all been saying for ages that Emmerdale police are absolutely terrible #Emmerdale," one wrote, whilst a second agreed and added: "Enjoyed Billy having a go at the s*** #Emmerdale police to their face."
A third shared: " #Emmerdale yea u tell him Billy how useless the Emmerdale police are & that the bosses don't like the filth."
