Emmerdale fans fear for Belle Dingle after killer confession

Emmerdale fans were left fearing for Belle Dingle after her killer confession to new boyfriend Tom King in Wednesday night's episode of the popular ITV soap.

Belle, who has started a new relationship with Tom, decided to be completely honest with him and confessed how she accidentally killed old friend Gemma in 2014.

Shocked, Tom rushed out of the Dingle cottage and was unable to process the news. He then later tried to apologise, but it didn't go down well, with Belle walking away from him.

For those who might not remember, back in 2014, Emmerdale's tragic Gemma storyline saw her clash with Belle in a petty row over the affections of Sean Spencer. As the friends' tensions spiralled into a physical fight, Belle pushed Gemma to the ground and caused her to hit her head on a rock.

Although Gemma seemed fine in the immediate aftermath, she lost consciousness once Belle left her. Tragically, there was nothing that the doctors could do for Gemma and she ultimately died in hospital.

Belle turned herself into the police and was sentenced to three years for manslaughter in a youth facility. Gemma’s death had a huge impact on Belle. She began to believe Gemma was talking to her, with the voice eventually telling her to do bad things, which then led to Belle's schizophrenia diagnosis.

Fans now fear Tom's behaviour towards Belle will lead to her schizophrenia returning. Twitter user @VampLover27 said: "I have a feeling Belle might end up having another breakdown after all this….. #Emmerdale."

User @perfwithsmurf said: "#Emmerdale Belle you can do better than that scumbag . Good for you, he's dumped." @Ockeghem said: "Think Belle might be having one of her 'episodes' again..."

Another viewer said: "Belle, don't make excuses for who you are. Listen to Lydia....you're worth more than 10 of him #Emmerdale."
