Emmerdale fans were left distracted from the drama during Tuesday evening’s instalment of the ITV soap, after Mandy Dingle entered the salon hellbent on catching Sandra Flaherty.
Mandy had been harbouring doubts over Sandra in the wake of Charles Anderson’s shock hospitalisation, which had been blamed on an altercation with Naomi Anderson.
Yet as police grilled Naomi on her meeting in the chapel with her dad the vicar, ahead of his critical head injury, Mandy’s attention was elsewhere.
The beauty salon owner, played by Lisa Riley, has been convinced Liv Flaherty's estranged mother, played by Joanne Mitchell, is up to no good on the Dales.
During last night's episode, she was seen expressing her doubts to Bernice Blackstock, who tried to reassure Mandy.
Yet Mandy was still unconvinced and unable to let her doubts go, so she decided to search through a cupboard in her salon – which she surprisingly pried open with a crowbar.
Emmerdale fans were left slightly distracted by the move, as they tried to wrap their heads around why Mandy would have a crowbar in the salon.
Taking to Twitter after the scene had aired, one fan wrote: “Every good hairdresser has a crowbar under the counter.”
Another quipped, in reference to the Dingle family's reputation: “You know you're a Dingle when you’ve got a crowbar behind a salon desk.”
“I always have a crowbar at work. Don't you?” a third soap fan penned while another chimed in: “Thought for a moment Mandy was going to clock Sandra with that crowbar.”
Elsewhere on Tuesday evening, Emmerdale fans were not impressed as they saw Naomi grilled by police before she was released from questioning.
Naomi then agreed to meet with Manpreet, who first found Charles collapsed in the chapel, and the pair quickly came to blows over the situation.
Many soap fans tuning in were not enjoying the storyline at all and are keen for Naomi to leave the Dales. Taking to Twitter, one person said: "This Naomi girl is a very unwelcome addition to the programme!"
Another person posted: "This Naomi is miserable, moany, obnoxious...get rid please #emmerdale." A third viewer tweeted: "The Naomi character is annoying. Bad decision emmerdale," and a fourth person added: "Do one Naomi."
Someone else posted: "Don’t see the point of this Naomi character and the adoption story. Just why?"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
