Faith Dingle ended her life on tonight's Emmerdale but some fans decided "not to watch".
Viewers of the ITV soap have expected this outcome for weeks after Faith, played by Sally Dexter, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The character refused treatment knowing that her days were limited and didn't want to face the nasty side effects of chemo.
But in recent episodes her body has grown frail and her mind wasn't quite what it once was. As a result she told her daughter-in-law, Moira, of a plan to take her own life when her spiralling health became too much.
