Emmerdale fans were gutted to see one of their favourite couple's relationships on the rocks this week.
Laurel Thomas was facing homelessness after Kim Tate announced she was selling Mulberry Cottage, leaving Laurel just 30 days to find a new home - all thanks to the actions of her partner Jai Sharma.
Jai had been experiencing major financial trouble recently, after being hit with a £100,000 fine following the disasters that occurred during the Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits adventure challenge.

After failing to secure a loan to help him pay off the fine, desperate Jai filed another application under Laurel's name behind her back, meaning she couldn't get a mortgage to buy the cottage off Kim.
But in tonight's episode of the ITV soap, Jai took drastic action to try and save the couple's home as he sold his shares in the HOP to be able to buy the property.
Explaining what he had done to Laurel, he said: "I've sold my shares in The Hop. Which means you can use the money to get a mortgage"
Confused, Laurel replied: "Kim's already accepted a offer."
Jai explained that Kim had given her a lifeline, as Laurel asked: "Let me get this straight, you've given up your livelihood and a job you love for me?"
Jai replied: "For us."
He thought that his sweet gesture would be enough to save the couple's relationship and their home - but he thought wrong as Laurel still wasn't pleased.
The businessman asked: "I've sold my shares in the business so you could keep this house. What more do I have to do?"
Laurel replied: "You can start by paying off your debts, but I will never forgive you for what you did.
"There is no future for us. Even if it means me losing my home. I've already lost so much. Let me be clear, I want a clean break."
Fans on Twitter were heartbroken to see the relationship coming to an end after Jai had tried to save it.
Elizabeth said: "#Emmerdale Awe Laurel take him back."
Another user said: "#Emmerdale @emmerdale Awe, I want Laurel and Jai back together. My fav couple."
Conor said: "I’d say Jay thinks Laurel is going to take him back #emmerdale"
