Emmerdale viewers were confused tonight after Amelia's actions towards a controversial character.
Noah Dingle appeared on screen tonight, weeks after he was sent down for stalking charges that included installing a microphone in his ex's bedroom.
Noah sent Gabby a visiting letter, which she quickly threw in the bin, but after Amelia spotted it, she took it as her opportunity to see him. Realising she needed an ID for the visit, she used Gabby's and made her way to the prison.
During her time with Noah, he begged for forgiveness for how he had treated everyone but Amelia admitted it wouldn't be that easy.

Thinking it was the last they'd seen of Noah, viewers were shocked to discover he was back on screen and that Amelia was even willing to give him the time of day. Viewers took to Twitter to share their confused outrage, as one viewer said: "Is this the first time Noah’s been on since he told Charity to do one?"
Another comment added: "Why is this poor sap visiting Noah when he was so horrible to her?"
A third viewer said: "I thought we’d seen the last of Noah, afraid not…"
A final comment added: "Amelia, Noah is in prison for doing wrong he’s not in for being a good lad. Why feel sorry for him?"
Amelia was seen comforting Noah as he held back tears and apologised for his terrible behaviour. He said: "I want to say I'm sorry. I really mean it and for everything I've done to you and everyone else." Despite his best attempts at seeking forgiveness, Noah's actor Jack Downham has said it's too little too late for his character, the Mirror reported.
He said: "Right now, I don't think there's anywhere back unless he gets serious help and has a serious few conversations with people about mindset and the way you just think about women and how you act around women. With his past around girls and how he's not really acted in the right ways around girls in the past and with his mum, Charity, and her very interesting relationships throughout him growing up, I think it's all had a really negative effect on his view on women and how he should act around women. I think he's really got it all wrong."
