Emmerdale could be waving goodbye to another longterm character on the ITV soap next week.
Dan Spencer faces a lengthy jail stint if things do not go his way, after a brutal attack in scenes to air this week on the show.
The character, who has been in the village for 12 years, will be shown taking the law into his own hands with creepy newcomer Lloyd.
But Dan's attempts to protect his daughter from harassment lead to a big mistake, as he possibly kills Lloyd.
Fans will see the character punch Lloyd in upcoming episodes, resulting in him falling to the ground injured.
Next week, it emerges the incident has left Lloyd facing death, and Dan is in big trouble.
Spoilers for next week reveal Dan heads to the hospital to check on Lloyd's condition, only to meet his wife Julie.
Soon Dan is questioned yet again, and he quickly realises that his visit to the hospital reflects poorly on his case.
To Dan’s surprise, DS Giles reveals that they’ve found nothing on Lloyd’s devices to suggest he's broken any laws - despite Dan knowing about Lloyd harassing Amelia.
Dan is urged to tell the truth as if he had another motive for the attack, leaving him rattled, and soon he's charged with GBH.
Amelia finds out and questions her dad about the arrest, leading to a devastated Dan heading into the woods while necking a bottle of whisky.
Dan is worried he will face a murder charge if Lloyd dies, with his condition seeing the character in a bad way.
So with Dan facing a GBH charge and a possible murder charge, will this lead to the character leaving the show for good?
Julie soon meets with Dan and he is left feeling wretched - but will she ensure he faces punishment, or could she be on his side?
Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what Julie has to say and what it means for Dan and Amelia.
It comes amid a difficult time for the father and daughter duo, as increasing financial woes left the pair struggling - and Amelia turned to social media in the hope of raising extra cash only to face danger from her subscribers.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
