Dominic Brunt is one of Emmerdale's most famous faces.
The 52-year-old soap star is renowned for his role as Paddy Kirk in the fictional Yorkshire village. Paddy has currently spiralled into a depression in the ITV show after he found out his wife, Chas Dingle, had an affair with Al Chapman.
He hit his lowest point in this week's episode as he wrote a suicide note as the character prepared to take his own life. The character was saved by the love of his friend, Marlon Dingle, who convinced him to put the bolt gun down.

Dominic appeared on This Morning this week and revealed the storyline is set to continue to play out over the next two weeks. During this period, there will be a special episode featuring an all male cast as Marlon will lock the Woolpack's pub's doors on March 10 with one thing on the agenda, men talking to each other.
Marlon Dingle is played by Mark Charnock and the two character's onscreen friendship extends away from the Yorkshire Dales. The two both share a love of horror and run an annual zombie film festival in Leeds.
The soap star friends first launched the venture in 2008 and it is still going strong to this day. Dominic is a film aficionado and even directed his fifth film, Wolf Manor, last year.
Although fans have feared his exit with the current storyline, Dominic has admitted his loyalties still lie with Emmerdale and he doesn't have any intentions to quit the show to pursue his directing career full time. He told Loose Women in January: "My loyalties lie with Emmerdale, they really do.
"It takes about two to four years to get the funding together and sometimes films collapse and sometimes they get up and go forward but it can be a very tricky situation, but I don’t want to ever do one of them by halves, so I only do them every few years.
"I’m happy with Emmerdale and I really love it." Dominic enjoys a happy family life away from the screen and is married to Joanne Mitchell, who will be familiar to soap fans.
She joined the cast of Emmerdale in 2016 as Liv Dingle's mum, Sandra Flaherty. The two have been married in 2003 and share two children.
Joanne has played a number of roles in the ITV soap as she first played DC Barnborough in 2003 and Susan Davies in 2009.
